Using this palette
All five tones sit at nearly identical lightness and low saturation, which is what makes a nursery palette feel calm rather than stimulating — babies' rooms use pastels specifically because high-contrast, saturated color is overstimulating for infants, so this set deliberately avoids anything punchy. Because the values are so close, contrast between swatches is subtle by design; use them as adjoining fields (wall + crib + rug) rather than expecting one to pop against another. None of these will pass text-contrast against white or against each other, so any copy needs a genuine dark neutral layered in separately — these are surface/decor colors, not a UI color system on their own.
